It is a beautiful jet black with a 440 engine. It is a fun car, but ridiculously high maintenance (the downside to having an old car). Maybe I can get some pictures the next time I am at their house. The funny thing is that the license tag is "NOT 4 HER" referring to my wife.
Sounds like a real beauty, 68 and 69 Chargers are my favorite.
I was just joking about the color. When you're talkin old MoPars, it seemed like 50% of the time they were green when they came from the factory.lol
Not quite sure what ya mean about "high maintenance". The "wedge" motor MoPars were pretty much bullit proof. Now if it was a Hemi, (that had solid lifters, and two 4bl. carbs to keep adjusted) I wouldn't have said anything.
I have a 1969 AMX (that I purchased brand new) and it's never been costly to maintain, or ever been what I would call high maintenance, (even as it got older).
But next summer, if gas goes over $4.00 per gal. It will be kind of expensive to enjoy, but old muscle cars are oh so worth it.
My Daughter would really be upset with me, if I had that license plate on my "Classic car".
