It won't hurt your car... If you are really worried about it, go to your local paint store and buy a gallon of 100% pure Toluene and pour it into the tank... it is a hydrocarbon normally used in gasoline to increase octane levels. It has an octane level of 115 and will raise your pump gas octane level proportionately.

Be careful not to spill any on your paint...
