So why have so many turned to drag racing their cars? To me, thats what Mustangs and Camaros, etc are good for, they certainly would never challenge your Crossfire on a twisty road.
I hand camaros and mustangs their asses all the time at the dragstrip with my SLK32 (SRT6). The AMG/SRT6 launches better, more consistently, and with more off-the-line torque. Drag Racing IS what these cars are good at. Along with many other things.
I am enamored with the all-around performance.
Why did Corvetttes get drug into this? As an owner of an OLD Corvette, I can tell you that it is slower than the AMG/SRT6, definitely sits lower, is a blast to drive, and has a ton of "soul".
