Here's my advice...
1)Print a copy of the 39 Month lease special from the
www.Chrysler.com web site. It doesn't have ALL the details you'll need but its a start. Show it to the dealer when they claim there's no deals on the X-fire.
2)From the web site, go to the Crossfire section and "build a car". Next go to "search dealer inventories" button. Find the dealers with the most X-fires. I found 2 in Detroit with over 20 cars in stock while most only had a couple. A dealer with only a couple cars on hand is less likely to deal as they are willing to wait for that whale (a got to have it at any price buyer).
3)Either there is alot of dumb dealers here in Detroit or DCX has done a very poor job communicating the lease deals. I had one dealer practically yell at me ("DCX has No deals on the X-fire") when I said I was interested in the X-fire and I wanted to get more info regarding the 39 mn lease special. I'd hate to see the non 5 star dealers. Another dealer tried to make me negotiate my price even though I qualified for a (lower) non-negotible price.
4)Unfortunately you need to be informed and persistent. Losing your cool and yelling won't help either. Intimidation seems to be a selling technique at least here and when I lived in Chicago.
5)Make sure you understand leasing, (Money factor, residuals, net cap cost etc.) how state tax is applied.
