To clarify, I was talking about 2 independent Mercedes shops in my original post, not dealers. I wouldn't even attempt an MB dealer unless of course they were one that publicly advertised service to all makes and models. I'm guessing there's none of those however. I was just surprised that a independenter Mercedes mechanic doesn't even want to take look at the car. Oh well maybe their book of business is very strong and they don't want to be bothered.

I found another local guy, so I'm going to swing by his shop in the morning.
