careful, but you should be able to stop it by holding it at idle. don't lose a finger trying this, but that is how close it is. it should wear in in due time...but it seems all pulleys are just a little different on how they mount up.
That was my initial thinking, that if it is a little too close it will wear over time. It's running like a champ. I might try your holding suggestion. Maybe push down on it with the rubber end of a hammer and see what happens.
