Default Quick SC Pulley ?

I recently installed a EC supercharger pulley. The instructions said to leave a .2-.3mm gap between the pulley and the supercharger. That's about the width of a couple sheets of paper. From the forum, members said you want it as close as possible without touching.

At idle should the SC pulley spin independently from the supercharger or just be able to spin independently by hand?

did you get shims (thin round metal to put between) with your pulley?just leave a small gap. It will also change after you have driven a while. mount it, 0.2mm all around, test it. take a look. if bad, re install , if good. Smile :d

I learned there are two different pulleys for the SRT. The first one EC sent me didn't mount right. The second one they sent mounted 0.2-0.3mm without any shims so I didn't use them. I probably just need to take some fishing wire and insure there is still a gap all the way around. I've driven it for a few weeks with this new pulley.

careful, but you should be able to stop it by holding it at idle. don't lose a finger trying this, but that is how close it is. it should wear in in due time...but it seems all pulleys are just a little different on how they mount up.

That was my initial thinking, that if it is a little too close it will wear over time. It's running like a champ. I might try your holding suggestion. Maybe push down on it with the rubber end of a hammer and see what happens.
