Yes it just pops off. The top comes off first, then the sides. The bottom part of the sides is a tight fit between the fender and windshield so watch that part carefully. Im pretty sure you want to start from the center of the top part and work your way out. The top part has a tab that slots into the sides so you need to lift the center of the top piece a bit to see and slide the tabs out without breaking anything. I took mine off a while ago to paint them, didn't prep very well so I get to do it again, probably going with a carbon fiber wrap.
