It's probably the developer key, not sure if there is a DIY keygen for that system but I found a forum that has a DIY for MB star to get developer for free.

It may help but if you have an auto it's pointless because it won't access anything you actually need to access. If you have a stick, were looking at what needs to be done but the ESP and BCU aren't looking like they will matter much as far as this thing running. Save your money, get Star. You can't swap without it.
