The owners manuel states that I need to put top down in the open position to re-initialize the top cycle. I am unsure on how to do this because the top is locked onto the tonneau cover and the tonneau cover is locked. How do I unlock the top and cover safely and is the proper procedure? Also, once the top is down, how do I re-initialize system. Thank you.
Manually lower top :
Make sure the trunk divider panel is in the "top down" position.
1. release the interior top latch and raise the top up about 6".
2. unlatch the rear window bow by opening the trunk and using a 5mm hex wrench on the lock.
3. raise the window bow and unlatch the tonneau with the special tool or a thin 10mm wrench in the front center slot.
4. raise the tonneau and have someone hold it up. Manually and CAREFULLY lower the top into the trunk.
5. lower and latch the tonneau with the special tool / 10mm wrench.
I have never heard of "re-initializing the system"
Maybe disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait 5 minutes ?
