I can tell you that getting the surrounds out is a piece of cake compared to getting the new ones screwed in. They fit very snug. I had to use pliers to get them screwed into the door. Then I had to sand/polish to try and get the scrape marks off the surrounds after using the pliers on the aluminum.

I would suggest that you use a touch of grease or some sort of lubricant on the surrounds before screwing them into the door. That will likely help a lot. Good luck.
