That sucks. I thought you had a warrantee? Was it through them? If so, you could just authorized the pump and be done with it.

Dealers now days are all about creating a long list of issues both for regular service items and then things you "really should do" other than maintenance. I've learned over the years to first verify the issues, determine if they need to be done right away or can wait, determine what I can / can't do myself and the go from there. I'm sure those of us that know at least the basics about cars are better off than most but it's still a pain when a dealer tries to pressure you (by applying some level of concern) to get things done. My dealers (not for the Crossfire) have been pretty good so far. They give me a list but are generally pretty honest about the urgency or not for getting things done. I'll do most simple things and sometimes tackle the more complex tasks when I can but reality is time, tools and knowlege is a limiting factor so just knowing what's real first and then level of importance is my primary savior.
