Default Re: Are Young Enthusiasts Vanishing?

I hate to say it since I'm basically from the generation that that article is talking about, but it's honestly pretty close to dead on. I think the only reason that I actually do things for myself is because my parents are older, in their 60's, and I'm 19. Just like with any parents, the kid will always look up and try to act like their parents, and that is why I think that I am different from most kids my age. I've gone through 3 cars, and each of them I have always enjoyed modding and working on. However, it's hard to find guys my age that actually enjoy working on or at least talking about cars. I wish that more people my age were more interested in cars, but I'm glad that I am, because boy are they fun. I thank my Dad for showing me what true hard work is, and of course all of the stories that he has with his fast muscle cars, a 1965, and 67 corvette, which he only paid $4000 for the pair in the 70's. But as for me, I've got a Crossfire as a hot rod, hah.
