I bought the Sumitomo HRT IIIs from Tire Rack due to price and good reviews. Not worried much about performance or durability - as an old geezer, I drive my X-Fire only around 3,000 miles a year, and very gently at that. I'm not a "preformance" driver, so my main consideration was price. Two of my Mandrus wheels have curb rash, so I got a local wheel shop to refinish the wheels and mount and balance the new Sumis for $270. My first thought was to replace the rears only with the newer Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics (keeping the old style Eagle F1s on the front), but for just $100 more I could get a full set of Sumitomos and have the same tread pattern all around.
