sorry i don't know the O/D of the sl55 intake
but i was told on the MB site that the sl55 and e55 are very close in O/D ..now very close is good for better air flow than stock but i think they would have to be the same to interchange the air boxs....so better air flow close to the sl55 intake is why i went with the easy to get E55 intake.....have you started you upgrade yet?
