Re: New member looking to buy a crossfire
I'd suggest staying away from the Dealers, except to take a couple for a test drive to see how x-fires are. (since they're probably premium priced). Other than that, your choices depend on how and where you drive. If you have good weather most of the time, you might want a ragtop. They have more road noise top up or down, than the coupe. Manual or automatic, i've found many members seem to like the stick, and i'm one of em. So, if you want a nice sport cruiser, go for the Naturally Aspirated (NA x-fire). Now, if you want track performance and straight on fast, then go for the Supercharged Srt6. It ONLY comes in Automatic, and you will sacrifice ride for more performance. (bigger brakes, stiffer suspension) They will be several thousand $ more than the NA. Check if they need tires, when dickering on price, they can be expensive. A well taken care of Crossfire will be CLEAN, engine bay and all. It will drive SMOOTH. If there are shimmys or vibrations, i'd stay away. Good luck in your search, if you get a good specimen you will love this car!
