Per the last three posts, make sure the large O-ring is in the second groove from the top; not all the way to the top. Unless the filter housing has a hairline crack, it shouldn't need to be replaced. I'm betting its an O-ring or over tightening issue.

The four O-rings are shown in position.
Over tightening within reason will not cause the leakage. You will break the filter housing first and cause leakage, the O-rings are in grooves that prevent leakage from over tightening.
