ANY good mechanic can do this repair (heck, I even did my own!).

  • Drop the trans pan.
  • Drop the valve body after disconnecting the electrical connecter (front passenger side)
  • Plate is between valve body and transmission.
  • Replace plate.
  • Button everything back up.
Good idea to capture all of the fluid you can so you have an idea how much to put back in cuz there ain't no dipstick!

NOTE: I would also replace the above mentioned electrical connecter o-rings while I was doing this repair.
noticed your post about changing the conductor plate. My XF with 25K miles just gave me a P0715 fault code. I was thinking of buying the part on E-Bay and having my local mechanic install it. Where did you get your tranny fluid and what did you use?
