Yet Pennzoil shows that the Chrysler MS-10725 spec is compatible with MB 229.5 spec.

From what I understand, Chrysler dealers now use the Ultra Euro 5W-40 exclusively for the Xfires.

??????????
I am just guessing here but this may be a case of the Penzoill marketing and sales department over riding the technical people to garner sales for the two grades of 0W-40 oils.
Also corporate agreements made some time back may now be void with new agreements in effect. If you want to sell a so called Euro oil you certainly do not want people using your other brand that you say is for SRT engines. The SRT6 is a fly in the ointment but most people will be ignorant of previous recommendations. Take the previous recommendations for the Crossfire out of the equation and it would all make sense.
