Sounds like you may have a bad intercooler pump which is a common problem with the SRT 6. Does this occur only after your car is warmed up? Does the throttle responce return as the engine cools down some?
If so it is probably the IC pump. Not a costly fix.

If you have a way to monitor the IAT's you can see if they spike and you lose power. Good luck.
