This is a super-simple but time consuming fix. You should have no problems and be done in an hour or so.
Unlesss........................................... ....... The thing freezes up and you have to drill the pin out. NO ONE has fun with this and EVERYONE curses, screams, sweats and suffers at this point.
I was lucky, mine froze up at a gas pump. It was a $100 tow home and, later in the week, when I went to take it apart, it had freed up! Did I ignore it and go on?
NO!
I took it apart and fixed it anyway. Like I said, I was lucky and it was EASY 'cause it was free to move, I just pushed the pin in as I yanked the assembly out!
