After they were finished they were shipped to a dealer and sold as a car that was 'recommended for sanctioned acceleration contests only and not for street use'.
You could also get a 440 in the same package, but apparently they were not nearly as popular as the Hemi.
Thanks for the update Mopar. I honestly knew very little about the SS/A Darts beside the fact they were Monsters.lol I never knew the SS/ option was available with a 440 either. Would have been really cool if they offered it with a Max Wedge intake manifold.
