New Toy.
Not a Crossfire but it is a Chrysler.. Took me good part of the day negotiating for this car, I finally got it. This car is the same year and color of my first car that my dad handed down to me. 71 Dodge Dart Swinger. 318 4 speed. It will be in good company with the other Mopars, the Crossfires and the 300C.

Very cool Tony, looks like it's going to be a fun car.
I had a red 66 Dart Convertible, and a copper 74 Dart V8.
You could turn that puppy into a Hemi "Clone" real easy.
Are those CRAGERS??
Be sure to pick up one of these,

Yep, and in 1968 and 69, the "factory" would even put a big block 440 "wedge" motor in one for ya.
Hurst even built some 1969 "Race" Darts with Hemi's.
Or the hemi powered SS/A option. Fenderwell headers and severely limited steering, but 12 second quarter mile times on stock bias ply tires, bet that would be fun!

Didn't "Hurst" build all the Hemi Darts? Or was "SS/A option" is what they were called?
You could also get a 440 in the same package, but apparently they were not nearly as popular as the Hemi.
They were built by Hurst. The SS/A option meant a lot of the interior was not installed by the factory, seats changed, fiberglass fenders and hood and some other things I am not too sure on. The car was then sent over to Hurst to be finished with Mopar Performance spring locators, a Hemi K-frame and of course a 426 Hemi. After they were finished they were shipped to a dealer and sold as a car that was 'recommended for sanctioned acceleration contests only and not for street use'.

Wen I picked my '68 up about 8 years or so ago I did a lot of research trying to decide what I wanted to do with it. I came across all kinds of stuff like that (even saw some references to an SS/B package but couldn't really find anything on it) with many different ways to go with the car. Unfortunately life got in the way and I didnt get a chance to do anything with it. Its still on the backburner.....
