Default Re: Cooling Fan not Running OVERHEATING

Ok, I just went out to my car to prove something, and I was right. IF the 50 amp fuse for the Fan Module is blown, the radiator light WILL come on. Since yours is not on, we must assume the fuse is ok.

And a new FCM didn't work either.

This leaves two possibilities:

1) The fan motor is bad. (But you said it worked when jumped to 12 volts, so...)
2) The PTCM is, for some reason, not commanding the fan to run.

Try this: Turn the A/C on, the button will have a red led come on, verifying the A/C is on. This makes the fan run at slow speed - does yours THEN run?

If so, we have a problem with the PTCM not realizing the engine is getting to warm.
If the fan does NOT run slow, either the PTCM is, again, at fault OR we are back to a bad fan motor.

The circuit is really simple - this should not be this hard! What are we missing here?
