After leaving work the ignition wouldn't turn, finally after 10-15 minutes of turning the key (and breaking it

). The ignition finally turned over. Thank goodness, I was able to get the car home a pull up the sticky key PDF on my phone (DO NOT REMOVE YOUR KEY FROM THE IGNITION, if you can get it to turn ).
It may seem like a lot of steps, but literally of the project 80% is taking apart the dash.
The mechanical bits are a little tricky, but if you use a wire to push in the "little pin" part you can easily remove the ignition
Also don't get confused the little pin part isn't the issue, the part inside the little metal hatch, that you have use a hammer and pointed object to open, is the issue. Just take that part out, with the spring.
The whole process took an hour, the pdf should have mentioned you will spend more time arguing with your sibling, parent, uncle, and /or significant other about the project then actually completing it

.
I was one of the ones that thought silicone spray and graphite would fix the issue, and truly it did for awhile, but trust me when I say this... and I hate the be the bearer of bad news, but complete this mod this ASAP or risk getting stranded.
