I don't have the option of running aftermarket as I have to pass an emission test via the OBD port.
If I had an automatic I would have gone reflashed SRT ECU, rewired a little bit and charged it and been done. Tweaking the boost curve would have been easy compared to trying to get one to work with a manual trans.
The emissions testing is what truly scared me but the way it works out and what you can change in DAS eliminates any sort of problem. The whole sit in the garage thing sucks but when I started no one could do this. Now there are claims from some that say they can but it's still up in the air until me or Jim are up and running.
The SRT and 32 amg ECU can be coded for the manual in DAS. The reason is they still retain the hardware and software you would need. This is why I think it would be easy to get a turbo xfire running. The actual tune itself needs to be configured by a pro, like eurocharged. My software for that still doesn't work. But I could easily get someone a turn key ECU coded to their car to read boost, just need a new map, which would probably be cake walk for eurocharged.
