As mentioned above the newer and more expensive alarm modules do beep. What I find strange is someone posted pics of the two modules which had exactly the same part numbers on them (Mercedes and Chrysler), one beeped and the old one did not. But this is not the Chrysler number he says to use.

The OP says what the new Chrysler is but that number is not the Chrysler number that appears on the parts. See this thread.

The part number he says you should use to get the beep is the same part number that is in the Part Numbers Manual. It is the part that was called for from day one.

Why would one beep and the other not? What am I missing?
