My manager at work has a snap on diagnostics computer, one that a shop uses, would that be all I need to reset it? Is there anything else I can do before hand? Thanks!

Did you ever get the engine codes read? The answer may be just in front of you if the check engine light is on and maybe even if it's not on.

If I'd have to make a guess I'd say a solenoid is stuck.
