So it was not emery that you used. I worked in the Tool making/design industry for a trade. So I'll use in return.
Yet once again superior knowledge and education triumph over my meager attempts to be helpful.
Dave, I had used a piece of a 3m microfine 2000 round pad that maxcichon gave me for headlight polishing, I mistakenly called it 'emery' rather than 'sand paper'.
I did not know there was a third type, now I know.
