As for the dome light issue, he said that there is a short in the dome light housing, and that the part to replace it is $1100.

Luckily, I have a warranty through my bank where I have the loan for the car, so I will just have to pay a $250 deductible for all the work, but holy **** is that alot for a part. Either way though, they can't do anything until monday because once again, they were slow in calling people, and the warranty place is in Chicago, and was closed when they tried to call from California. So I really hope that both issues will be covered, or else I'll still have to pay 270 for them to do the dome light diagnostic and pull the codes from CEL and end up with a car that is still having issues.
As it appears you believe the dealer instead of what you have read here I will not bother anymore with this thread.
$1,100 will be spent and the cause of the problem will still exist. You are being taken to the cleaners, expect to pay more than $270 in the end.
