They said that there was a short in the dome light housing. If that isn't the case, then they can figure out what the issue is and repair it. Make no mistake, if the insurance company approves the repairs, I will pay 250, and the dealer will keep replacing things until they get it right. I'm not paying 1100 and having them throw the car back at me with the lights still on.

When they call back on Monday, I will make sure that they did look at the CLP in the trunk and made sure that everything was fine with that.

Edit: Just to add, I'm not sure what else I can do at this point. If you said that it isn't something to do with a short in the dome light housing, then what do I tell them? To recheck and check the locking pump for water damage? I'm kind of stuck here. I don't want to have them looking all over the place at things and then have them or the insurance come back at me and say that I owe more money because the extra looking wasn't covered under warranty. I'll tell them that I want both old parts back, and maybe they will change their tune if they're trying to scam me. But I'm genuinely asking how to go about asking them to check the trunk if they think it's something else.
