Re: New dyno on tuesday
Gains: Headers 4 hp. Disappointing considering the cost. The tune is still under evaluation but first indications are it makes more power and it's lean. A bit of a surprise because the tune it was based on was not lean. The retune was to raise the rev limiter and I wanted something a bit more aggressive. I'm hoping after some time the ECU will adjust. Until then I'm running 100 octane just in case. I don't plan to rev to 6400 with frequency. The new tune and TCU give me the option to hold a gear when at the end of a straight or upshift early before a series of high speed turns. In the 1/4 mile I hope to shift at 6100 manually but if I'm a little late there's room for my error and I get the benefit of the reduced torque management and quicker shifts. Where I notice it most (reduced torque management) is in first gear. My next update with new information will be after the weekend.
