You end up building a whole new chassis, and only use the panels from the XF. A lot of metal work to bring it altogether. You could drive it stripped if just for the track. But to put down any real power, a tubed chassis, and just the shell of the XF would net you a pretty light gasser. Definitely a wheel stander... It had crossed my mind to do a project like that, then I woke up from that dream and came to my senses. I can buy just about any drag car out there a lot cheaper and whatever power I want. Good luck kid...hopefully Dad will wake up from his dream as well. Look on the back pages of your NHRA magazine. Plenty of drag cars to buy. A whole hell of a lot less work.
Yeah you're right I could buy any car out there but then what fun would it be when I look at my car knowing someone else built it. Wake up from a dream? Lol sorry I wanna do somethin else then build yet ANOTHER chevy that literally helen keller could build.
