That could explain it. With the offset crank the 3800s in my Reattae are even fire and the injection is sequential, from the CPS it can guess pretty close and fires two cyl at once (lost spark design I first saw on a Honda 150 Dream). So it can just fire almost immediately. All I know is that when warm I can just tap the starter once and it fires.
The 3.2 OTOH is not an even fire engine (problem with 90 degree V6s) and it is using the same firing method as a Hemi with dual staggered sparks so maybe it needs a bit more to find itself.
Did just feel three compression strokes before it fired this morning (can't hear so I compensate by feel) so about one rev but can't just tap.
Constant flow injection in my Corvette was pretty much the same but the Delcotronic ignition was also very hot so would start instantly but then the cam and side pipes would make life interesting
