I know personally that if the transmission is over filled that it will pump out the excess out the vent in short order. I was doing lots of testing and found this to be true. Id not worry about over fill, the color is indicitive of over heated fluid which is a bigger issue and consistent with no metal. Check the cooler and lines for proper flow - blow them out.
