The plug is made so that the wire to the display unit comes out the side of the plug, and it is a SHORT plug, it does not extend more than 1 inch below the OBDII port.
You can mount the unit to the left of the steering wheel and hide 90% of the wire inside the dash and bring it out at the top of the interior fuse door.
