You can buy a lot of clamps for $500.
This is the first of this type of problem I have seen, so no need for braided hose. If it leaks at a clamp fix the clamp not the hose.
There are many hydraulic hoses that are not braided on the outside and they have higher pressure ratings, as long as the hose is spec'd out OK there is no problem. The construction of the hose is all important, some have braiding inside. Braiding looks cool though.
