Alright Miata, I went ahead with the Kenwood 955: Kenwood KDC-BT955HD CD receiver at Crutchfield.com

This sucker has everything I could want, and 4volt preouts. Now my question is, do I still use the speaker wires to the scosche adapter to the new head unit? In that order? Keep in mind, I've never really messed with audio stuff before in cars, this is a first lol. Btw I already have the unit itself in my hands.
