So, if you have been looking to do something with your intake, you know there are a few options. Needs Wings is awesome and expensive, the hot air intake on Ebay looks like it would be great at getting more air to a Forced Induction Car, not the best for an NA. There is the MERC V8 air box that lets in a bunch more air and I got to thinking.... Has anyone tried the V8 box, removed the paper filters, then put cones on the inlets. If you were to use a cone that received cold air from a duct, you could customize the ducts (im thinking easy), use the bigger box to house more air and reduce restriction, and possibly approach the results gained by the Dual Needs Wings set up. Of course you would need to do the TB upgrade but assuming you have done that already, this might be an option for HP for less that $650 for a NW single with engine cover or a double at about $950w/ cover.

I hate to use an Ebay intake set up as it would look cheap as it is. I was thinking, Weapon R because it doesn't look cheap and has decent inlet/ducting set up. Im thnking I can do 2 cones, V8 cover, custom ducting for about $300 and have a unique and clean looking set up with the engine sound of an open intake, the benefits of cold air from the ducts, and the extra air that can pass through the box and the cone filters. Anyone try this yet?
