All the sales people have drop tops. I fit in nicely with my German Made Cabriolet.

I am saving for an S3.

For cheap, quick, blast of air and sound, I may do bypass filters between the inlet tubes and the air box.

2 of these...

I would only do this to scratch the itch I have for more inlet air and growl. $40 gets her done.

Im going with the hot air set up from EBAY for now. I found a V8 engine cover that I may incorporate as well. I can't spend $400+ on a new needs wings, I just cant do it.

a filter, some couplers, and pipe...... I know its teflon coated and their was research and testing, but this is for a 9 year old car.

I agree, unless you go wild with cams, a single pipe is all a good six needs & my Fiero GTs had a wonderful sound. OTOH I am after the clean blare of the Jags and 140 Corvairs of my yout and that takes duals.

As bad as I want a needwings intake...and I do want one very bad.....that is alot of money for a couple of pipes and some filters. Although I do send alot of buisness to my offroad guys, maybe they could order directly from needswings and give me a deal on it. Hmmm

Just did the hot air intake from ebay. Sound is amazing, car has more ***** for sure, but it's fairly cold out. I'm not sure how well it will seem when the heat picks up. Fitment was fair at best! I went through and sealed the intake box with electrical tape, if I leave it this way, I may use some silicone to make sure no dirt or dust gets in where there is normally rubber sealant from the edges of filters. Couplers are a hair too big for the engine cover so I may find some reducers to replace the cheap couplers that were included. Filters were excellent quality but the driver's side filter has to be manipulated aggressively in order to fit it in place and puts stress on the the already poorly sized coupler. A smaller filter, shorter pipes, and flexible plastic tracks connecting to ducts already in place could be done for the same $, would fit better, and bring a more direct line of cold air to the fitler. Sililar to this kit.

Here are some enclosed filters that could be attached directly to the air box tubes, then run ducting to grill.

Why can't someone sell me a used needs wings ???

No one has one for sale because,,,,,,,,,wait for it.......

The Needs Wings has no superior competition. So no one trades up to something else.

Bite the bullet and buy one. Rob deserves the business and will take good care of you.

Best way to get any parts you want to show up on EBAY.

Pay retail for them somewhere else.

I just do have $500 for an intake. But I am learning the hard way... Ordered some spacers from ebay, they don't seem to fit either.??? Someone could upgrade to the dual intake. Someone could upgrade to the V8 engine. I love to pick up a used needs wings. I will keep an eye out for sure.

Well you best hope for a 1 day auction while everyone is at a Crossfire meet..

because there are several that check regularly.. LOL.

They don't go for much cheaper than retail when they do manage to show up.

Got one and I love it. A bit more pull especially on a cooler day, and a bit snappier at highway speed as well.

I have the PCtune intake packed up and ready to go if someone wants to do what I did.

I started by removing restriction with an affordable intake and when it made sense, I bought a track proven design.

Thanks for everyone in the forum that helped me decide what to do and when.
