Who told you it was an EGR problem from the get go?
The problem was the auxiliary water pump for the intercooler. This
caused an overtemp shutdown of the SC. Once replaced the problem
was resolved.
The service department at the dealership told me initially that it was an
EGR problem, as they had seen a code for this from the OBD.
