Ok... Here's the deal. The Crossfire is not a complicated machine and there are plenty of competent people who can work on your car. Many of them former Mercedes Techs. I've put more than 150,000 miles on Crossfires, almost 100,000 on just one of them. Granted I did all the work myself on my Crossfire the only major problem I had was an oil sending unit that was weeping oil onto my splash shield. I believe the part was $200 and what ever Steve paid for RTV compound. If you're not mechanically oriented and it's okay if your not don't pay the dealer to fix your car. Find an independent shop that centers it's work around European cars and you'll be fine. I personally wouldn't buy another warranty as I've not spent more than $500 on parts in all the years I've owned a Crossfire.
