As for extended warranty, look at my old threads going back years. I did a lot of work under warranty. Recirc flap on the ac broke (a piece of plastic), sticky ignition. Window water leaks fixed. Even the ac turning on and off like a ghost. That was an 800 dollar part I had to replace twice with warranty. I even had both headlights replaced for free. Never got my hands dirty. Never had to take my dash apart myself. Extended warranty on my car was money well spent and I got my money back plus more.

Let me ask you a question... Did you buy another crossfire yet? Last I checked you sold yours to buy a Mercedes.
It's okay if you're afraid that your airbag is going to go off in your face due to you being incompetent and failed to unplug the battery before you started. By all means get a professional to do it exactly the same way others have told you to do it. Why trust people who have owned these things and have a wealth of knowledge about these things. After all you've mention multiple times how much you love the people at your dealership. Now kindly answer my question. Have you or have you not fixed your airbag issue under warranty? If I remember correctly you were having trouble getting them to pay for it.

You asked, Did you buy another crossfire yet? My reply is nope.
