If it was as simple as a bad cap I don't think so many would have wasted thousands trying to get new one's. It's worth asking though, I agree. Anyone check the Cap's?
I'm thinking it's a cold solder joint on a prom leg somewhere or something similar for bad wave soldering. Just like the RCM.
