Correct they fly A380-XXX planes.
I worked for MD in the early 70s and some DC10s maybe MD11s were fitted with extra hard points on one wing to mount and transport a spare engine. We always wondered what passengers might think if they were not informed why there was an odd engine on one wing.
Time flies and the other month the last DC10 in passenger service flew its last scheduled trip.
