It is really a personal decision, and it's plain and simple. It's a used car. If it's worth it to you, then it's worth it. If it's not, it's not. It's a LOT, LOT less expensive than buying a brand new car, so when compared with that, it's definitely worth it. It's a fun car, and relatively unique. You can travel hundreds if not thousands of miles across the country and rarely see another.

Are you buying it for an investment? Don't. If you're wondering if it's going to go down in value after you buy it, then, yes, it's going to continue to go down in value for at least another 5 years. When pristine un-modified cars become extremely rare, you will start to see a rise in value.
