Chrysler says the "Skreem Module", part 5099541AA has failed. The engine turned over one time did not catch and then nothing. Dash lights, cabin light, horn, all on, no one home, nothing. They say its $189 for the part, must be programmed specific to vin/vehicle. Yet, further pursuit of info, another parts dept says this is a door module, Chrysler itself called it a "Wireless Receiver". Does anyone know if any Skreem module can be (re) programmed to function in any Crossfire once it is programmed and does the dealer program the module? Another part dept pursuit is that this is considered an exchange part, meaning the original must be returned and a reprogrammed one will appear 1 to 2 weeks later. WTF, 2 weeks for a Chrysler part? Is this possible? Anyone have some current leads to this Skreem module and info regarding programming? Thanks to all who respond.
