Texas Motor Speedway / Running of the Xfires - September 27, 2014
The tradition continues! Save the date, September 27th for the once a year 2014 TMS event. From the Speedway Children's Charities website: "You’re the driver when Texas Motor Speedway opens up the track to the public! Experience the thrill of driving your personal vehicle around the 1.5-mile speedway oval, all to benefit Speedway Children’s Charities at Texas Motor Speedway. We have a BIG addition to this year's event! After you take your laps, you can celebrate with a picture taken in Victory Lane, then enjoy a drive-in movie on Big Hoss TV - The World's Largest HD Screen! The event will take place on September 27, 2014."

Saturday's Itinerary:
* 12:00 - Meet 'n Greet and group photo at Motel 6
* 2:00 - Leave Motel 6 to go to Babe's Chicken Dinner House. Then return to Motel 6.
* TBD - Leave Motel 6 for TMS
* TMS sign-in and pay $40 for first run of laps (includes souvenir t-shirt), subsequent run of laps are $30
* 6:30: Drive laps on the NASCAR Texas Motor Speedway!!!
* Have your picture taken with you and your Xfire in Victory Circle.
* Watch other groups run the track.
* After track pool party.
The official hotel for the event is the Motel 6 near TMS.
