Look at the first post of this thread for the itinerary. We meet up at the motel 6 there by TMS, go to babe's in Roanoke for lunch and then out to the track. This year it cost $40 for 5 laps on the track. This money goes to the children's charity. Another $10 to take a pic of you and your car in winners circle. It is not racing, you go in a single file line with pace cars.. But it's still lots of fun.
Come on out!!!
Thank you very much. So looking forward to getting to know the group sure sounds like a lot of fun. Also are there any certain times that they start registration for the laps.

We'll probably leave Motel 6 to head over there about 5 or 5:30...
We have to go in to together as a car club to get the extra laps.

Guess facebook is getting all the love.. LOL.. Was (as expected) another great time with Crossfire friends! As usual - we were the last car out of the motel parking lot... LOL. Thank you texas t for the "surprise" on our windshield!

As far as poolside stories.. well us guys did learn the hazards of "popping a squat"..

We really enjoyed meeting up with all you guys again, GREAT Pool Party (AS USUAL) Thanks to Dave Tinker for the Shotgun ride at the track. Really getting an inkling to get another Crossfire, BUT with the lack of enthusiasm in the Houston area, and there being only ONE TMS a year now, I am still a little reluctant to buy another Crossfire just to sit in my garage 98% of the time Mmmm Mmmm Steve loved the V8, very well done, some time went into that one. ALSO loved the Roadster, BUT it should be mine LOL.

I missed the TMS and not much else going on here either, however, my Crossfire sits in the garage 99% of the time. It's the 1% that it doesn't is what I enjoy. It is there when I want drive. I also have contemplated selling it.

*Thank you Terry, It was good to be with you & Margaret again, good time as always...What if you pack everything you own into your BMW land yacht and move up to DFW....not much sitting in the garage around here. Oh, I guess you would need that Roadster though

*I also want to thank Dave Tinker, because you mentioned a Mobil 1 rebate, I remembered I had just bought 2-5qt. jugs. I found the PDF and there is a 2 x $12 ($24) rebate ck box for 2. http://www.atwoods.com/images/rebates/mobil.pdf

*(^^^ I have no idea why it posted the video twice. ) Dan, I clicked both a the same time...interesting. Again ~ Great Video!

I was lucky enough to grab this shot of StevE55's awesome engine bay with the supercharged V8

Doc,
I am glad you brought this up. Even though I never had the opportunity, I can’t help but feel I know him through his craftsmanship. I have been careful to preserve the work he had done previously, I guess as a tribute of sorts. I spoke of his work numerous times at this TMS event and yes I do feel a presence. I am still working towards the purpose of this build and when I finally make it to the “Texas Mile”, you can bet I will take your advice and have clearly visible to all..
