I did the baked potato mod on my intercooler. Here's what's changed. It takes longer to get up to temperature after a cold start. When I park after a drive it holds the heat in and takes longer to cool back down. My IAT's are a few degrees hotter with the insulated intercooler at cruise. I'm not a fan of the thermal coating or insulation on the intercooler. Apparently some air flows underneath it while moving and helps cool it down.
